The Denver Broncos have found their guy to protect quarterback Drew Lock. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Broncos have inked guard Graham Glasgow to a four-year, $44 million deal. The contract includes $26 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 27-year-old Glasgow entered the NFL with the Detroit Lions back in 2016. He has been a starter ever since his rookie campaign and has started 58 of 62 games played. In fact, Glasgow has missed just two games in his career.

The former third-round draft selection is a versatile starter. He has lined up at left guard, right guard and center for the Lions during his four seasons in Detroit. He played 81 percent of the team's snaps this past season due to missing one game. He also was a part of a unique rotation strategy by head coach Matt Patricia. Patricia would rotate him out of games when the top three guards were healthy.

As ESPN noted, Glasgow was a little “dumbfounded” on why the Lions hadn't signed him to a new contract by the end of last season.

“Toward the end of the 2019 season, Glasgow said he was somewhat surprised he didn't get a deal done in Detroit and “at this point, it would be dumb” to not test free agency.”

The Broncos will enter the 2020 season with optimism. They finished the season at just 7-9, but they won four of their last five games after Lock stepped in at quarterback.

With the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders facing uncertain futures, there may be an opening for the Broncos to become contenders again.
