It has been nothing short of a disappointing season for the Denver Broncos after dropping their eighth straight game on Sunday in a 35-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins. This has featured porous play under center for much of the year, with third-year quarterback Trevor Siemian putting up just 200 yards on 19 of 41 completed with three interceptions and no touchdown passes.

Despite that outing, the Broncos are reportedly going to stick with Siemian as the starter in Week 14 against the New York Jets.

It was likely a move made more out of necessity with backup Paxton Lynch declared as out with a high ankle injury for the game. Meanwhile, Brock Osweiler is sitting as a healthy option at third on the depth chart but has notably struggled in the four games that he has played this season. He has thrown for 701 yards while throwing four interceptions with three touchdowns, holding a 32.3 quarterback rating (QBR) and a 65.5 passer rating.

Getting a strong grapple on the starting spot has been difficult for Siemian, who has thrown for 2,018 yards with 11 touchdown passes to 13 interceptions along with a 26.6 QBR and 72.7 passer rating. This includes recording an interception in seven of the nine games played, and multiple thrown four times.

All of this could indubitably lead to the team looking to addressing the situation next offseason, either through the draft or free agency.
