The Denver Broncos have found themselves in a unique position heading into the draft holding the fifth overall pick. It has put them in the spot to potentially be in play to take one of the projected quarterbacks from this year's class.

Denver may have a starting quarterback in place with Case Keenum under a two-year, $36 million deal, but it hasn't deterred the team's interest in adding promising talent to the fray. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the team is set to have visits and workouts with a few of the top quarterbacks this week.

The Broncos are putting forth a full effort in truly assessing the crop of quarterbacks that one of which could be the long-term answer under center. General manager John Elway is content with rolling with Keenum as the starter for at least the 2018 campaign, but the short-term deal at least shows that the team could more than likely go in another direction. At this point, there is also no certainty that the 30-year-old's performance in the 2017 season with the Minnesota Vikings is what he can bring to the Broncos.

Each of these quarterback prospects has shown a great deal of talent that could allow for them to become the next face of the franchise for one of the most well-run organizations in the league. The front office has put together a stable roster that a viable quarterback could lead the team back to the playoffs behind a stout defense and group of proven offensive talent at their disposal.

There are several directions that the Broncos could go with their fifth overall pick, but it's clear that they are highly intrigued by the possibility of taking a quarterback at that spot. Time will tell if that is the route they plan to go when they are on the clock later this month.
