There is now a major concern for the Denver Broncos regarding their star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

The Broncos wideout was having a standout performance in his team's season opener against the New York Giants, as he caught six passes for 72 receiving yards. However, his outing came to an abrupt end after he suffered a notable lower-leg injury.

After clinching a pivotal third down conversion for Denver, Jeudy was subsequently brought down by Giants cornerback James Bradberry. The receiver's ankle appeared to be rolled up on during the tackle, as he was then shown in clear pain.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star was then carted off the field.

For the moment, he is reportedly being evaluated for a lower-leg injury.

Coming into the season, there was much hype into the potential chemistry between Jeudy and new Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Now, Bridgewater may have to look elsewhere within the team for a new top receiving target.

For now, it simply remains to be seen on the severity of Jeudy's injury and whether it may have been a crushing season-ending one.

The Broncos wideout had a promising rookie campaign last season, as he recorded 856 receiving yards to go along with three receiving touchdowns. He had formidable performances along the way, which included his 125 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown showing against the Atlanta Falcons.
