Denver Broncos starting quarterback Drew Lock is dealing with a rib injury and may not be able to play in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins, per NFL Network.

If Lock–who has bad muscle strains–can't play versus the Dolphins, the Broncos will start Brett Rypien.

Drew Lock is 2-5 as a starter this season for the Broncos. He's thrown for 1,497 yards, seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The 24-year-old is only completing 55.0 percent of his passes and hasn't looked good at all.

The Broncos, after losing to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10, are now 3-6 on the season. They are well on their way to missing the playoffs for the fifth straight campaign.

Brett Rypien has appeared in three games for the Broncos this season. He has racked up 295 yards through the air but has four interceptions. The 24-year-old, should he get the start against the Dolphins in Week 11, is in for a long day, as Miami has one of the best defenses in the NFL.

The Broncos have been looking for a franchise quarterback ever since future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning retired. For whatever reason, Denver Executive VP of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway–who is one of the best gunslingers in NFL history–just can't seem to find Manning's replacement.
