Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has noticed some similarities between the team's new offense and the one the Los Angeles Rams have.

Sanders also noted the Broncos' new offense is similar to the system he had with the Steelers several years ago. He also said he's looking forward to the system of new Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, per The Athletic's  Nicki Jhabvala.

I played in this system before, under Bruce Arians when I was in Pittsburgh.

I like it because it's kind of like the Rams' offense. We're not going to spread wide all the time. It's going to be very condensed, but still be able to use the whole field and make DBs defend the entire field.

I'm looking forward to that. I'll be able to showcase my speed. They had guys like Marquise Goodwin in this offense and seeing DeSean Jackson going past guys in certain plays we're running.

The Broncos hired former San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello last January.

According to The Denver Post's Kyle Fredrickson, “Scangarello's roots in Kyle Shanahan's zone run system set the foundation for his rise to Broncos offensive coordinator.” Quarterback play (most notably from Joe Flacco) will set the tone for the offense.

Scangarello told Fredrickson last January he envisions an aggressive and detailed offense which empowers the players.

Playing for Scangarello should make Emmanuel Sanders reminisce about his playing days in Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2013. Scangarello's offense should allow him to utilize the entire field and his speed. That spells trouble for the opposing secondary.

Plus, the Flacco and Emmanuel Sanders connection should be fun to watch for Broncos fans. Denver finished just 19th in total offense in 2018. The Broncos also won just six games and missed the postseason for the third consecutive year. Those two should help Denver climb back to respectability in 2019.
