The Denver Broncos added another lethal threat to their offense ahead of the 2020 season when they selected former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jerry Jeudy with the 15th overall pick. Now, as of Thursday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the two sides have reached an agreement on a four-year, $15.2 million deal.

Jeudy took to Twitter himself to make the announcement:

A preternaturally talented wideout, Jeudy starred during his time at Alabama, having been both the Biletnikoff Award winner and a consensus All-American during his sophomore season in 2018. In just three years with the Crimson Tide, he compiled 159 receptions for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was the living embodiment of a big play threat, averaging 17.2 yards per catch.

Jeudy now joins a Denver offense that could use his shot of play-making abilities. Courtland Sutton has erupted into a top-tier wideout, but the group of Jeudy, fellow rookie KJ Hamler and second-year tight end Noah Fant are expected to make up the future backbone of the receiving corps for rising sophomore quarterback Drew Lock.

Many have seen Jeudy as a potential Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate with Lock's cannon of an arm figuring to match up well with the rookie receiver's traits.

The NFL is seeing rookies begin to ramp up their likelihood of signing their initial contracts as players get closer to being training camp ready. With NFL preseason games nixed, the first time that Broncos fans can see Jerry Jeudy donning his new colors in game action is slated to be Sept. 14 during the first installment of “Monday Night Football.”
