Joe Flacco is one step closer to becoming a Denver Broncos quarterback, as a new report reveals that he's gotten his physical and met with the brass.

Sports Illustrated (via NBC Sports) reveals that Flacco has already passed his physical with flying colors, and the trade will progress as planned on March 13th, when it can be finally announced.

While there's a lot of hope for Joe Flacco in the quarterback position on the team, the Broncos have unfortunately had a bit of a revolving door when it comes to that position:

“They drafted Brock Osweiler 57th overall in 2012, and he became the heir apparent. They drafted Trevor Siemian in the seventh round in 2015, and he ended up starting 24 games in 2016-17. They traded up in the first round for Paxton Lynch in 2016, but he lasted only two seasons and four starts. They traded for Mark Sanchez in 2016, but he didn’t even make it to the regular season. They re-signed Osweiler in 2017 after he flamed out in Houston, and he started four games that season. They signed free agent Case Keenum to a two-year, $36 million deal last offseason, and, after seeing Keenum for 16 games last season, they are moving on to Flacco.”

As we'd previously reported, the Broncos are currently looking into several options for Case Keenum now that Joe Flacco has come on board as the quarterback.

Keenum has struggled as the starter, so it makes sense that they'd bring on Flacco as fast as they possibly could.
