Denver Broncos general manager John Elway applauded the performance of starting quarterback Case Keenum.

Elway has been impressed with how Keenum has managed things in the fourth quarter recently, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic.

The 24-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers was a huge confidence booster for the 5-6 Broncos, who have now won their second consecutive game.

They are looking to add one more win and extend their streak next week against the Cincinnati Bengals . Their Week 13 opponents are experiencing troubles with their defense. All the Broncos have to do is capitalize on it.

Keenum did a good job at managing Denver's offense against the Steelers. He avoided making mistakes, and above all he was able to lead a touchdown drive that won the game for the Broncos.

He was mistake free and was an effective clutch passer to spoil the Steelers' big night on offense. Keenum passed for 197 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions to run things for the offense.

Their defense also had their share in this Week 12 win. The secondary did a great job in limiting productivity from wide receiver Antonio Brown because they covered him well.

Keenum was one of the hottest quarterback free agent signings this offseason. Last year, he replaced the injured Sam Bradford and took over the Minnesota Vikings, whom he led to the NFC Championship game.

His performance with the Vikings caught the eye of the Broncos, who are looking for stability at the quarterback position.

This season, he has passed for 2,802 yards and 13 touchdowns with 10 interceptions.
