The Denver Broncos acquired defensive lineman Jurrell Casey in a trade with the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, and immediately upon joining the club, Casey is already looking forward to playing with the Broncos' star pass rushers, Von Miller and Bradley Chubb:

“Hell of a pass rusher, what else can a guy like me who loves pass rush and getting after the quarterback (want),” said Casey, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. “They’re going to push the quarterback into the pocket and make my job easy. Nobody can complain.”

Casey spent the first nine years of his career with the Titans and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played 14 games and registered 44 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and a couple of fumble recoveries, en route to his fifth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Southern California, was originally selected by Tennessee in the third round (77th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie season, finishing with 52 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Following a similar year in 2012, Casey broke out in 2013, racking up 55 tackles, 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

However, Casey did not make his first Pro Bowl appearance until 2015, when he totaled 54 tackles and seven sacks.

Since then, the Long Beach, Ca. native has widely been regarded as one of the league's best interior defensive linemen, and he is about to make the Broncos' front seven that much nastier.
