The Denver Broncos are unfortunately going to be without Von Miller for the entirety of the 2020 season. In response to Miller's season-ending injury, Justin Simmons shared how Denver can fill the massive void left by the All-Pro edge rusher.

“For Malik or Jerry or any of the guys, there’s no replacing Von,” Simmons said, via Kyle Newman of the Denver Post. “There’s no, ‘Hey, step up and step in there and do what Von does.’ That’s way too much pressure on them. Von is among the best in the league, so the onus is on the team in general to [fill his void]. . . . It’s going to take all of the defense and a whole team effort.”

During Tuesday's practice, Miller suffered what was described as a ‘freak injury'. The former No. 2 pick would sustain an injury that involved a tendon in his ankle while practice was nearing a close.

On the surface, the Broncos would love for one of Jeremiah Attaochu or Malik Reed to replace the production left behind by Miller. However, Miller is one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL, and asking one person to produce similar numbers as him is asking a lot.

Given that, Simmons understands that it's going to take a collective effort to fill in for Miller. Along with Miller's injury, Bradley Chubb is also still recovering from his torn ACL and likely won't be 100 percent to begin the season. Nonetheless, Simmons knows the defense — and the entire team — is going to have to do their part in picking up the slack amid Miller's unlucky injury.
