Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson is happy to see all the talk of change the week plus, but he knows that for it to happen people need to put some action behind their words. The Broncos have been one of the many teams that had open discussions after George Floyd died when he was in police custody.

Jackson said the change can't just be from players on the team, but it needs to be a full organizational change that can impact the entire Denver area. He also knows it can't be just Denver, every NFL team needs to do what they can in their community.

“We have to figure out what we can do not only as a team, but as an organization,” Jackson said, via Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post. “How can we get out and impact the Denver community? Maybe we can put together a march as a team or something like that. We have to get out in the community and be heard. Just the opportunities we have as pro athletes, it’s huge for us to be heard and it’s huge for us to be in the community and see us and know we stand behind them.”

Jackson has the right idea with these comments. Everyone is talking about equality now, but it needs to be a change that is permanent. There has been many marches for equality, but this is the one that actually needs to see change happen in the United States and around the world.
