The latest news has emerged that the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots' Week 5 matchup has been postponed to October 18. This came after the Patriots had a fourth player who tested positive for COVID-19 in a span of eight days.

Broncos running back Melvin Gordon was disappointed with the league's decision to abruptly move their scheduled game via a post on Twitter:

The Broncos will also have their Week 6 matchup against the Miami Dolphins to be rescheduled by the league. The game is originally slated to be played on October 18.

On the other hand, the latest member of the Patriots organization who tested positive for COVID-19 was unnamed by the team. Their three other players who had positive cases were quarterback Cam Newton, practice squad defensive lineman Bill Murray, and cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

In the aftermath of Newton's positive COVID-19 case, the league decided to move their Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs from Sunday to Monday. Gilmore still managed to play in the game where he tallied three total tackles in a 26-10 loss and eventually tested positive for the virus afterward.

The Chiefs also had practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta'amu and more recently, an unnamed strength and conditioning coach to have positive COVID-19 cases as well.

The Tennessee Titans continue to have positive cases after an unidentified member of the organization was added to their double-digit casualties while the Chicago Bears also had a player to test positive for the virus.

The league will continue to implement the necessary changes in order to mitigate the risks of more widespread and prevent another COVID-19 outbreak moving forward.
