There was a lot of noise surrounding Aaron Rodgers going to the Denver Broncos last offseason, with some reports even suggesting a trade to the Broncos was imminent during the 2021 NFL Draft. That obviously didn't pan out, but expect the rumor mill to be swirling again after the Green Bay Packers' 13-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round on Saturday.

Broncos running back Melvin Gordon clearly had this on his mind after the Packers' shocking loss:

Denver will once again be in the market for a quarterback this upcoming offseason. Teddy Bridgewater did an admirable job when healthy, but his injury resulted in a late-season collapse and the Broncos could do better. Drew Lock certainly ain't it. Denver lost the last four games of the season to go 7-10 and miss the playoffs, with head coach Vic Fangio getting fired.

After all the offseason drama, it seemed as if Rodgers had patched things up with the Packers this season. He put forth another MVP-caliber campaign and led Green Bay to the No. 1 seed in the NFC. But instead of a Super Bowl run, Rodgers went out small at home as a heavy favorite. This will only lead to plenty of questions about his future, and the veteran quarterback acknowledged he'll take some time to do some research on the situation before deciding what he wants to do.

Don't be surprised to see the Broncos get in the mix for Rodgers once again, though a new head coach must get hired first. It also remains to be seen if Melvin Gordon is actually around, as he's set to hit free agency this offseason.
