Growing up in Nebraska and playing football at the University of Iowa, Noah Fant undoubtedly came to know just how helpful certain kinds of cars can be navigating midwestern roads during the winter. Now that he's been drafted by the Denver Broncos, then, it should come as no surprise that Fant's first big purchase after signing his rookie contract will be a tricked-out truck well-suited for the snowy climes of Colorado.

“Probably a truck. Probably a Raptor,” he told TMZ Sports about his initial major expenditure.  “I'll get it jacked up, and get some tires on it, so it's gonna be good.”

Fant was the 20th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, the second tight end to come off the board behind Iowa teammate T.J. Hockenson.

At 6-foot-4, 249 pounds, Fant’s performance at the combine was arguably the most impressive of any player with respect to his position. He ranked first among tight ends in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 60-yard shuttle, and three-cone drill, also placing top-five in the bench press and 20-yard shuttle. The 21-year-old was one of the best performers at his position in literally every means of athletic testing conducted in Indianapolis.

But it's not like Fant's draft status was based solely on his eye-popping performance at the combine, either. He had 39 catches for 518 yards and seven touchdowns last season as a junior, despite sitting out his team's bowl game, and led the country in yards per catch and touchdowns catches by a tight end his sophomore year.
