The Denver Broncos, a team that no longer has anything to play for, want to see more of quarterback Paxton Lynch as the season is coming to a close.

Basically, the National Football League franchise would like him to audition for next season.

“Brock played well, . . . But we have a lot of things going on as far as the QB deal,” coach Vance Joseph said, via Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post. “We want to see Paxton play some. That’s the truth. We have to see where he is as a player going into the offseason.”

When asked about Trevor Siemian’s future, Joseph replied:

“I’m not sure. That’s a question we’ll all have to answer after the season, a number of us.”

Paxton Lynch, currently best known as a cosplay sky pirate, hasn't really had a chance to show what he's got since arriving in Denver. Injuries have derailed him so far in his career.

If the Broncos really want to know what he has — or doesn't, for that matter — letting him finish out this season as the starter seems like a smart move.

Either way, John Elway will likely need to address the needs at the position in the offseason.
