Ever since former Denver Broncos star quarterback Peyton Manning retired in 2016 after winning his second Super Bowl title, the team has had a revolving door at the quarterback position with Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, and 2016 first-round selection Paxton Lynch.

With the signing of former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum to a two-year deal this offseason, the Broncos hope their quarterback carousel will come to an end. Their confidence should be boosted even more after Manning gave his glowing endorsement of the new Broncos QB.

“I like Case Keenum. I'm a big fan. What an exciting season he had last year in Minnesota. He's really been a winner his whole life,” Manning said.

Keenum was one of the NFL's most pleasant surprises during the 2017-18 season for the Vikings, as he helped lead Minnesota to an NFC North Division title and all the way to the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 30-year-old quarterback took over the reigns of the Vikings offense when Sam Bradford went down with a significant knee injury. In 15 games last season for Minnesota, Keenum threw for 3,547 yards with a 67.6 completion percentage, 22 touchdown passes, and only seven interceptions.

Even with Keenum's presence, Broncos general manager John Elway may be very tempted to take a quarterback of the future with the team's No. 5 overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. But unless he disappoints spectacularly, Keenum will likely get his chance to start for Denver this season and show just why he made a fan out of them, not to mention the great Peyton Manning.
