Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay was unable to finish out his stellar 2018 NFL season due to a wrist injury. It appears he still has yet to set a timetable going into the offseason.

There has been some speculation regarding his status for organized team activities in the summer. According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic, he will take a patient approach with is recovery:

Phillip Lindsay, still wearing a hard cast on his right arm, didn't want to go into whether he'll be able to participate in OTAs at all. “I'm just going with the flow of things right now,” he said.

Lindsay's approach is certainly understandable. He was one of the most pleasant surprises from the 2018 campaign. His biggest concern is making sure he is healthy enough to follow up with an even better performance next season. Perhaps it is best that he takes a cautious approach for now.

Of course, Lindsay will still want to make sure he does not sit out for too long. He knows full well how easy it is for one to lose their job to an underrated talent in the NFL. He signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent and was buried on the depth chart throughout the offseason. Fortunately, he was able to take full advantage of his opportunities, and the rest is history.

Lindsay has already vowed to play in next year's Pro Bowl game after he was unable to take part in this year's festivities due to the injury. It is safe to say that his starting job will be waiting for him once he returns.
