The Denver Broncos have ushered in some significant changes this offseason. Fortunately, it appears they plan to have a familiar face back in running back Phillip Lindsay.

Lindsay has spent the offseason nursing a wrist injury. According to 9NEWs insider Mike Klis, he is expected to be good to go once training camp rolls around:

Lindsay is expected to be ready for 11 on 11 team drills on the first day of training camp next week. His reps will be monitored, which is fine, because backup running backs Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker get their share of game-day playing time, anyway.

This is certainly an encouraging update on Lindsay. He proved to be quite a steal last season when he established himself as the best running back in his rookie class. The former undrafted free agent finished the 2018 campaign with 1,278 total yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns before his season was cut short by the injury. Regardless, he still managed to make history as the first undrafted offensive rookie in NFL history to be voted to a Pro Bowl.

Despite his success, Lindsay knows full well how quickly his status as the Broncos workhorse can change. Lingering questions about his durability continue to raise questions about whether or not he will need to take on a lighter workload moving forward. Denver will gain a solid idea of where his health is once training camp starts. For now, the onus is still on Lindsay to silence any further doubts about his Pro Bowl-caliber skill set.
