Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay will be limited for organized team activities (OTAs).

9News Denver Broncos reporter Mike Klis tweeted the news on May 12.

According to ESPN's Jeff Legwold, the 24-year-old Lindsay underwent season-ending wrist surgery after Christmas last year. Doctors initially estimated he would recover in three to four months.

Legwold predicted back in January Lindsay “expects to be able to participate in some parts of the Bronco's offseason program.” Based on Klis' tweet, it seems Legwold's prediction is accurate.

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph told ESPN last January he has confidence in Lindsay's work ethic.

To come back where he came from — he was like sixth on the depth chart at running back in [training] camp — you have to have confidence in who you are and what you do to make it.

But he also remembers that climb, too. That's one guy I don't worry about getting complacent because he believes in himself, but he's also seen there are no substitutes for the work because he's been that guy nobody expected.

Lindsay has certainly come a long way since signing an undrafted rookie contract with the Broncos last year. He exceeded everybody's expectations. Lindsay ran for 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns in 2018. He also earned his first Pro Bowl berth.

Klis confirms Linsday is the “first undrafted offensive rookie to be named to the Pro Bowl.”

Broncos fans need not worry about Lindsay being limited in OTAs. He should come back ready for training camp in the summer. You'll see a better version of Lindsay in the 2019 NFL season.
