When the Los Angeles Clippers sold were sold for $2 million to Steve Balmer in 2014, it changed the way that everyone looked at pricing for NBA franchises.

Since that point, it has seemed all the NBA franchises have become worth more, and some believe the same will happen with the Denver Broncos.

The Bowlen family is currently deciding what exactly what they want to do with the franchise.

Pat Bowlen is still the majority owner of the Broncos but stepped down as CEO in 2014. The family is now deciding if they want to sell the team, or if someone inside the family will step up to be the owner. By all accounts, it's starting to become a bit of a family feud.

Beth Bowlen Wallace, a daughter of Pat tried to apply to take ownership, but the trust that is now in charge of the ownership group said she was not qualified. Via Reuters:

“As trustees honoring the clear wishes of Pat, we have thoroughly evaluated whether Beth is capable of succeeding her father as controlling owner. We have determined that she is not capable or qualified at this time. We have communicated our decision to Beth and her lawyers on multiple occasions. She is also fully informed as to why her employment with the team ended in 2015.”

The first goal for the family is still to keep it in the Bowlen family, but at this point, it seems like that might be hard so if they decide to sell, look for the team to sell for a pretty penny.
