Without a true field general at the helm, the Denver Broncos were bound to find themselves struggling to advance downfield throughout most of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

That nightmares came to reality in the first half, with the Broncos going 0-for-7 on passes, a feat that hasn't been seen since the Los Angeles Chargers in 1991, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

After a one-in-a-million chance, the Broncos were left without all four of their quarterbacks coming into Week 12. Jeff Driskel had previously tested positive for COVID-19, which only left them shy one field general. Apparently, Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles all engaged in a meeting with Driskel. They didn't wear masks, thus labeling them as close-contact, high-risk players and forcing them out of Sunday's bout.

Before Denver took the field, Lock issued an apology on his Twitter, in which he admitted to none of the quarterbacks wearing masks while in close proximity of one another.

Now, the Broncos are in risks of falling to the Saints in Week 12 due to the careless mistake. They currently are down 24-3 as the third quarter draws to a close. Wideout Kendall Hinton has taken up the duties at the quarterback position. He has completed one pass through the entire game, going 1-9 in his efforts for a total of 13 yards while throwing two interceptions. Despite his struggles, he brings in the most experience on such short notice given his college experience as a quarterback with Wake Forest.

The Broncos are coming off a 20-13 win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. They may find themselves on the losing end once more if Hinton can't turn things around soon.
