Russell Wilson is happy to be traded to the Denver Broncos after spending the past decade with the Seattle Seahawks. After all, the team checks all the boxes on the franchise he wants to play for.

The star QB recently opened up on the trade that sent him to Denver from Seattle, and he couldn't help but describe it as a “blessing” since Broncos have everything that he wants from a team.

“I want to make sure that I go to a city that wants to win. I want to make sure I that I go to a team that wants to win. And I want to go to a city that knows how to win. And all those three things were checked off the box here in Denver,” Wilson said, per Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports.

Russell Wilson has a decorated career with the Seahawks, winning the Super Bowl once and becoming a nine-time Pro Bowler in the process. He is already one of, if not the most accomplished QB in Seattle history, but like any other QB, he wants to keep competing and winning at the highest level.

As the Seahawks rebuild, though, Wilson seemingly made it clear that he wanted to head to a team where he can keep competing not only in the postseason but also for the Super Bowl. The Broncos certainly fit that bill with all the talent and tools they have.

It remains to be seen how far Wilson can take the Broncos, but it is certainly great to see that he's motivated as ever.
