Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio announced Monday that Joe Flacco will make his debut for the team on Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks, per NBC Sports' ProFootballTalk.

Flacco, 34, was acquired by the Broncos in the offseason in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft to the Baltimore Ravens. Flacco is a Super Bowl champion and MVP, winning Super bowl XLVII for the Baltimore franchise under coach John Harbaugh.

The quarterback did not appear in Denver's Hall of Fame Game last Thursday, when the Broncos won their first preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons, 14-10. Fangio, 60, had offensive sequences for QBs Brett Rypien, Kevin Hogan, and Drew Lock; however, Flacco was absent from the team's preseason debut.

Per Jeff Legwold of ESPN, Flacco will get “at least some limited work” on Thursday against the Seahawks.

The Broncos selected Drew Lock in the second round of the 2019 draft. Rypien, 23, signed as an undrafted free agent with Denver. Hogan, a veteran signal-caller, was re-signed by the team in March after being claimed off waivers in September of the previous year. He has started in one career game, for the Cleveland Browns, after bouncing around several NFL franchises.

In nine games last season before going down with a hip injury and being replaced by then-rookie QB Lamar Jackson, Flacco threw for 2,465 yards and 232 completions, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions, going 4-5. Jackson would lead the Ravens to a 6-1 record, winning the AFC North and earning a berth in the playoffs.
