The Denver Broncos laid an egg on Thursday night, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 30-6 in their Week 7 matchup.

The loss ended a two-game winning streak for the Broncos, and afterward, head coach Vic Fangio tore into his team's offensive performance:

“It was all levels of our passing game [that] were problems,” Fangio said, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. “Protection sometimes, receivers not getting open sometimes, [the Chiefs] using good coverages for us that maybe we weren't ready for; it's certainly a problem we have to get rectified moving forward. … It's disappointing not to be ultimately competitive out there.”

Denver mustered just 205 yards of total offense in the loss, going 1-for-13 on third downs and averaging just 3.2 yards per play.

Joe Flacco completed 21 of his 34 passes for 213 yards with no touchdowns nor interceptions, but he fumbled twice, one of which resulted in a Chiefs score.

The Broncos' ground game was not much better, as Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman registered 3.3 and 3.5 yards per carry, respectively.

Denver scored all six of its points in the first quarter and did not register another point for the rest of the night.

“[The Chiefs] pressured us early on in both the run and pass, and we didn't do a good job of handling it,” Fangio said.

Fangio added that he still believes in his players, but that the Broncos had a “poor performance really in all three levels” on Thursday evening, which dropped them to 2-5 on the season.

Denver will take on the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday.
