Garett Bolles has shown some progression with the Denver Broncos throughout training camp so far, and Vic Fangio has taken notice. The first-year coach is impressed with the advancement the third-year left tackle has made since last season, especially mentally.

“I like where he’s at. I like his mindset,” coach Vic Fangio said. “He’s not going to be perfect. The thing you always have to remember about him is he had such a limited football background prior to coming to the NFL that he’s still in the growing stages more so than other guys.”

The Broncos selected Bolles with the 20th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since then, Bolles has started in all 32 games at left tackle.

Prior to football, Bolles had a tough upbringing that involved drugs, alcohol, and gang activity. Bolles became too much to handle and was kicked out of his father's house when he was 19 years old.

The Broncos offensive tackle was then adopted by Greg and Emily Freeman, eventually gaining a much different out look on life. Bolles would find his way to the University of Utah, where he became a highly sought-after offensive tackle.

Bolles has been a mainstay on the Broncos offensive line for the past two seasons. This year, Bolles is taking his game to another level with the help of famed offensive line coach Mike Munchak.
