The Denver Broncos were supposed to contend for the title as the best defense in football this season. While that expected success stemmed from many factors, none loomed larger than the presence of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. After staking a claim last season as the league's best pass-rushing tandem, they seemed destined for even bigger and better things in 2019 under first-year head coach Vic Fangio, one of the NFL's most well-respected defensive minds.

Through two games, however, Miller and Chubb have disappointed, both individually and collectively. Almost unbelievably, Denver failed to notch a single sack in consecutive losses to the Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears. Chubb has two quarterback hits, while Miller and his other teammates have yet to get enough pressure to knock opposing signal-callers down.

Miller insists he's not concerned as much about the lack of sacks as he is with the Broncos' 0-2 start. Still, he's hardly lost confidence in his team.

“We've got a great team,” Miller said, per the Broncos website. “We've got great players. I just want to win. I feel like everything comes with wins. It's just frustrating knowing what we've got in the locker room, what we've got upstairs and everything that we put into it and not be able to win. I feel like that's where the frustration come from. We just need to break through. We've been practicing really, really well this week and I'm excited about going to Green Bay and playing a good team.”

Miller, Chubb, and Denver travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.
