The Denver Broncos won a Super Bowl back in February of 2016 with an aging Peyton Manning leading the way. Now, the team is hoping to get back to their dominant ways after missing the playoffs entirely last season.

If the Broncos want to get back to elite status in the NFL, the team needs to have a formidable quarterback under center to complement what remains a dominant defense led by Von Miller. The perennial Pro Bowler believes the team already a player of that caliber in Trevor Siemian who has been given the starting job once again and apparently is giving off a Manning-like vibe in Denver, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

“We’ve been saying it for a long time, we said it last year,” Miller said. “Him seeing the way it’s done, he just has that Peyton Manning vibe — he kind of looks like Peyton Manning too. It’s great to have that energy from Trevor in the locker room and on the football field. I trust him in everything, our whole organization trusts him. He’s looking 10 times better than he did last year and he did a lot of great stuff for us last year.”

Over the course of training camp and preseason, Siemian was in a quarterback battle with Paxton Lynch. The two young gunslingers were given the opportunity to compete for the starting job by new head coach Vance Joseph who wanted to see which player would emerge as the team's undisputed leader on offense.

Siemian beat out Lynch before the 23-year-old went down with a shoulder injury forcing the team to bring in Brock Osweiler for a second stint recently. If Miller is right about his assessment of Siemian, the Broncos may be in good hands moving forward with a potentially formidable pair of backups in Osweiler and Lynch.
