The Denver Broncos find themselves in a luxury position holding the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft with the chance to snag one of the top talents in this year's class. The team will have a plethora of options available to them at the selection t bring in a potential cornerstone player.

During this process, there have been several different possible scenarios tossed around what direction the Broncos plan to head at the pick. According to Jeff Legwold of ESPN, star defensive end Von Miller is quite confident that general manager John Elway will make the decision that is best for the franchise's future.

“I have all the faith in the guys that are running the organization, whatever we do with it, whatever we can get — mock drafts, you talk about paying attention the draft,” Miller said. “There have been all types of mock draft with guys coming here and guys going there. Whatever happens, I'm cool with it. We have a Hall of Fame quarterback leading the organization. [Elway] is going to make the best decision for our organization and I'm with it.”

Denver has brought in several players for individual workouts and visits that includes the top four quarterbacks in this year's class in USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, Wyoming's Josh Allen, and Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield over the last few weeks. The team clearly has some significant interest in adding a quarterback if that option is available to them when they are on the clock at the fifth overall selection.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have also brought in NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, and Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson. The front office has made an effort to get a thorough look at the talent at the top of the draft in order to make a sound decision.

All of this makes it clear that management is going to be quite prepared to take a player that they are fully confident will be the right choice for the Broncos' long-term future. Although it appears that the Broncos are hedging toward taking a quarterback, Elway has left his options open for whatever transpires before the team officially gets on the clock.
