Von Miller won't add to any stress in the Mile High City. Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is one of the best in the NFL, but the veteran did not arrive in Denver for the team's initial offseason program this week. Harris appears likely to hold out due to his current contract situation.

Harris is gearing up to enter the final year of his current contract with the Broncos. Even so, teammate Von Miller doesn't appear to be too worried about the ongoing talks.

“We all know what type of pro Chris is on and off the field,” Miller recently told Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver. “He’s going to be ready to go whenever he’s here and if he’s not here he’ll still be ready to go. We’re talking about Strap Harris. He could be on Mars and he’s still going to be Strap Haris.”

It is also worth noting that Von Miller knows such a situation all too well. The prolific pass rusher previously went through his own contract dispute in 2016.

“Whenever you go through negotiations it can get stressful because that’s your career,” Miller added, via the aforementioned Klis. “This is what I do. I want to play. Whenever there’s uncertainty it can be stressful but staying home while everybody else is doing OTAs? No, it wasn’t stressful.’’

Of course, the Broncos will try to rebound in 2019 after missing the postseason in 2018. However, it certainly won't be easy with both the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs also in the AFC West Division.

Denver will need Chris Harris to join Von Miller and become part of a nasty defense under first-year head coach and veteran defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
