Von Miller may be having a down year for his standards, but he represents the only Denver Broncos player to earn a spot in the Pro Bowl this year, as Mike Klis of 9 News notes.

In the 13 games he has played in 2019, Miller has logged just 40 tackles and seven sacks, which are incredibly thin numbers for a pass rusher who normally fills the stat sheet.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was initially selected by the Broncos with the second overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He instantly stamped his name among the best defensive players in the NFL, racking up 64 tackles, 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles during his rookie campaign, making the Pro Bowl.

Up until this year, Miller has logged double-digit sacks seasons in every year except 2013, when he played in just nine games due to injuries and a suspension.

There are still two games left for Miller to reach 10 sacks, but based on his level of production through the first 15 weeks (missed one game – knee), it might be difficult for him to reach that mark.

Not only that, but this represents the first time in Miller's NFL career that he has failed to log a forced fumble, and in seven of his first eight seasons, he totaled multiple forced fumbles.

Miller's most productive season came in 2012, when he totaled 68 tackles, 18.5 sacks, an interception, six forced fumbles and a defensive touchdown, earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in addition to a trip to the Pro Bowl.

Outside of 2013, Miller has now made the Pro Bowl every season.
