Denver Broncos general manager John Elway has made plenty of important offseason moves. Not only did he build around quarterback Drew Lock, but he revamped their defense for this upcoming season.

In a recent interview with Ben Swanson of DenverBroncos.com, Broncos star linebacker Von Miller opened up about all the offseason moves Elway has done so far.

“I had been telling the guys, like, last season, ‘We’re going to go and get one or two more dogs. That’s all we need, one or two more dogs,'” Miller said, via the Broncos’ website. “And guys were like, ‘What position are we going to get?’ I was like, ‘It doesn’t matter; we’ve got guys everywhere. We need one or two more dogs. It doesn’t matter if its running back, tight end, receiver, defensive end, it don’t matter.’ And that’s what Elway went and got: He got us one or two more dogs. We’ve got a really competitive team this year.”0

Miller, a 31-year-old former second-overall pick from the 2011 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, seemed satisfied by the offseason moves Elway has done. So far this offseason, the Broncos have traded for cornerback A.J. Bouye and defensive tackle Jurrell Casey. In addition, they’ve signed running back Melvin Gordon and guard Graham Glasgow as free agents.

This upcoming season, the Broncos will seek to make the playoffs for the first time since their Super Bowl run. The Broncos have struggled to find a consistent quarterback ever since Peyton Manning retired. However, Lock has shown plenty of promise and most certainly looks like their next franchise quarterback.
