The Denver Broncos managed to eke out a narrow win over the Los Angeles Chargers in spite of Von Miller's absence. However, they may have to spend the remainder of the season without him as his injury is more severe than what was originally thought.

According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the linebacker revealed that he sustained an MCL injury and might not be able to play. This injury kept him out against the Chargers, and it's not yet certain whether he'll be able to play against the Houston Texans for the Broncos' Week 14 clash.

“It was hard,” Miller said regarding his inability to play four days ago. “It was real hard. I cried real tears, 30-year-old man.”

Miller acknowledged that his status for Sunday is in doubt.

“I’m already undersized,” Miller said. “When you take away exotic movements that make me who I am it changes the type of player I am. I have to get that back to go out and play. If I don’t have that back then I need to take time to get that right.”

Miller is an important component of the Broncos defense, so not having him in the team is a big hit on their effectiveness. He has been a fixture in the Broncos defensive line since 2011, and his performance has always helped the team be one of the better teams in the NFL. He has been slightly ineffective this year, notching 35 tackles and 6.0 sacks in 11 starts.

Given his condition and the Broncos' situation, it's unlikely that they'll risk playing him.
