After the Denver Broncos' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, outside linebacker Von Miller wasn't too pleased with the results his only NFL team has produced. However, rather than dwell on the situation of not going to the playoffs since 2015, the Pro Bowler sees light at the end of the tunnel.

Miller cites the youth movement occurring in Denver, led by the progressing dynamic duo of quarterback Drew Lock and wide receiver Courtland Sutton.

We’re definitely trending forward. In other years, it was me being optimistic and hoping,” said Miller on Thursday, via The Denver Post. “The reality is, we do have a good team, (we can) rally around Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton and who knows what type of (moves) we make in the offseason. We’re one or two players away, one or two plays, one or two games from being where we need to be.”

“I definitely want to be a part of the solution,” said the superstar pass-rusher.

The last time Miller played a playoff game, he won it, defeating the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl and winning the MVP award of the game. Since, the Broncos have struggled, rotating through quarterbacks and head coaches while he witnesses many of his old teammates leave for greener pastures.

However, there is hope in the Rocky Mountains. Though the Chiefs thrashed the Broncos in Week 15, Denver did win back-to-back games in the weeks leading up to the loss, both with Lock earning his first-ever NFL starts. If the rookie quarterback is what many believe he is, the Broncos may be stuck trending forward.
