The game between the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears went down to the wire. It was won on a 53-yard field goal as time expired.

That field goal was kicked by Eddy Pineiro of the Bears, as they won 16-14.

However, to get into that field position, Chicago needed to drive down the field. They got there with some good offensive plays, but also with some controversy.

Denver pass rusher Bradley Chubb was called for roughing the passer on Mitchell Trubisky. A call that many don't agree with at all.

Roughing the passer is a call that tends to bring controversy. There are a lot of pretty obvious calls. However, sometimes it appears to be the cleanest possible tackle, and the defender is still called for it.

This seems to be the case in this particular instance.

It stings even more for Denver because they had a long drive to score a go-ahead touchdown with just 31 seconds left. It would've only been a game-tying touchdown, but they went for two and got it to take the lead.

Suddenly they were in fantastic position to win their first game of the year and get back on the right track. Instead, it was the Bears that got the W and moved to 1-1 on the year.

Now, the Broncos own an 0-2 record and need to figure things out quickly if they want to salvage their season.

It's not much of a consolation to know that a heavy majority of NFL fans believe a terrible roughing the passer call is what caused Denver to lose, but that's the reality they're in now.
