John Elway. Denver Broncos legend. Two-time Super Bowl champion. Hall-of-Famer. Broncos general manager.

…Lime scooter rider?

Apparently.

In a video posted to Twitter by Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic, Elway is seen riding a lime scooter down the road in Denver, the latest addition to his legend.

This might go right up there with the helicopter run as one of the shining moments of Elway's life.

Now 59 years old, John Elway entered the NFL as the No. 1 overall pick of the Baltimore Colts back in 1983, but Elway told the Colts he would not play for them and threatened to play baseball instead.

As a result, the Colts traded Elway to the Broncos.

Elway went on to spend his entire 16-year career in the Mile High City, earning nine Pro Bowl selections and winning back-to-back Super Bowl titles to conclude his NFL tenure.

Then, in 2011, Elway was named general manager of the Broncos, where he has served ever since.

Since then, Denver has experienced mixed success.

Elway was able to sign Peyton Manning going into the 2012 campaign, which instantly elevated the Broncos to contender status. They went on to make four straight playoff appearances during each of Manning's four seasons at the helm, making a couple of trips to the Super Bowl and winning the championship during the 2015-16 season.

But since Manning's retirement, Elway has struggled to fill the quarterback position, as Denver has shuffled through numerous signal-callers in missing the postseason each of the last four years.

However, John Elway appears to have found his quarterback of the future in Drew Lock.

Maybe he can get him to ride a lime scooter, as well.
