Antonio Callaway is traveling with the Cleveland Browns to the take on the New York Giants but as he does there are more details emerging about the traffic stop where Callaway was cited for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. According to cleveland.com the officers also found a gun strap and ammo in the car during the stop but no gun.

He was stopped on Sunday night at 2:59 AM for failing to yield coming out of a BP gas station. Patrolman Eric Schubert smelled marijuana coming from the car and asked him to step out of the car. When asked about the items in the car Callaway said that the car had just been shipped in from Florida.

When the officer found the ammo he patted down Callaway and the Brows wide receiver explained that the gun was still down in Florida. The officer at the scene also said he got very nervous when he discovered the ammo.

“I got real nervous when I opened it up and first thing right down by where his feet sit is the backstrap of a Glock, and then he's got a bunch of single rounds sitting in the center console. That's why I got real nervous when he's standing back here and there's no gun, but there's gun stuff everywhere.”

Although Callaway didn't commit a crime having the ammo in there it is a bad look for a guy who couldn't stay out of trouble with the Florida Gators. He isn't going to have many strikes in the NFL so he needs to clean up the act quickly.
