The shocking trade of Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns is already having a ripple effect on the NFL. Not only will the impact be felt league-wide, it is already starting to emerge in Cleveland. Hours ago, the Browns agreed on a one-year, $4 million deal with receiver Breshad Perriman, but now he wants out.

In the wake of the Beckham trade, Perriman no longer wants to re-sign with Cleveland, a source told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. Perriman was a first-round pick of the Ravens in 2015, but he quickly washed out of Baltimore. The Ravens cut him just before the end of last season, and he eventually caught on with the Browns.

He came alive down the stretch and had a monster sequence in the last four games of the season, in which he caught two long touchdown passes. His time in Cleveland revitalized his career and created a real market for him. He decided to re-up in Cleveland with the apparent intention of winning the number two receiver job.

With Beckham now in the fold, it seems Perriman doesn't believe he will have a clear path to substantial playing time. Signing only a one-year deal, Perriman's plan was to have a big year and then re-enter the market again next year. If he's not able to get consistent targets, it makes sense why he would look elsewhere. For what it's worth, Perriman is represented by NFL super-agent Drew Rosenhaus.

While it's never good news if a player wants to back out of a deal, the Browns won't be too broken up about this. Not only do they have Beckham and Jarvis Landry, but they also have promising young players Rashard Higgins and Antonio Callaway. Their receiving group will be just fine.
