The Cleveland Browns lost to the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day, 24-22. It was a winnable game, but quarterback Baker Mayfield's four interceptions ended up being the difference. Mayfield has struggled mightily with turnovers this year, and it has prompted the organization to start thinking about his future with the team.

According to The Akron Beacon Journal's Marla Ridenour, the Browns are likely to bring in competition for Baker Mayfield next season. Some of the notable quarterback free agents are Jameis Winston, Cam Newton, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andy Dalton. However, none of those names inspire much confidence and would not necessarily be an upgrade to Mayfield.

So, Cleveland might look to either draft another quarterback or possibly, try prying away Russell Wilson from Seattle.

Wilson had been outspoken at times about leaving the Seahawks, only to then backtrack some of his comments. But that organization appears to be going nowhere, quickly. Wilson is in the prime of his career and wants to win. Cleveland would give him a great chance to do that.

The Browns arguably have one of the best, most talented rosters in the NFL. The offensive line is easily one of the best in the league. The trio of Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt and D'Ernest Johnson at tailback is as strong as you will find. Even Cleveland's defense is stout. They rank in the top 10 in pass defense, rush defense and overall. Yet, they are 7-8 and clinging to life for a playoff berth.

A lot of that falls on Mayfield. He has reportedly been playing through a ton of injuries this season. But if you are good enough to play, that shouldn't be an excuse. Mayfield has thrown eight interceptions in his last five games. That has put too much pressure on the defense and the team to overcome.
