The Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs the New England Patriots. That leads to serious fantasy football implications.

Chubb tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, despite reportedly being vaccinated. With Kareem Hunt still on IR with his strained calf, that leaves D'Ernest Johnson as the lead back in Cleveland.

Fantasy managers, you remember him, right? He filled in once before earlier this season, starting at Denver in Week 7. All he did was run for 146 yards on 22 carries, scoring a touchdown and almost another.

Johnson was electrifying. If he is available on your waiver wire, go get him right now. Literally, stop reading this article and go pick up Johnson.

Knowing Chubb was back to full health last week, and Hunt is close to a return, it's possible Johnson was dropped since he exploded three weeks ago.

He is the lone running back at full strength for the Browns. Running backs Demetric Felton and John Kelly were also both placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Expect Johnson to get a ton of volume in this game.

The Patriots are middle of the pack defensively against the run. It makes sense for Bill Belichick to scheme up stacked boxes to slow the Browns running game down, but Cleveland's offensive line is so good, that might not matter.
