The NFL announced Wednesday that the City of Cleveland and the Browns will be hosting the 2021 NFL Draft:

According to the Browns, the draft will take place in iconic areas around FirstEnergy Stadium, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Browns, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and the City of Cleveland will hold a press conference on Thursday to discuss it in more detail.

In Roger Goodell's statement, he noted the Browns' passionate fans as a reason why the city was selected for the draft:

“Cleveland has a passionate fan base and the city offers distinctive iconic locations and attractions that will bring the NFL Draft experience to fans in unique and exciting ways,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We look forward to collaborating with the Cleveland Browns, the City of Cleveland, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and Destination Cleveland to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of players and create a memorable fan experience.”

As part of the events, there will be a massive NFL Draft experience for fans of all ages. Included in the experience will be free autographs, interactive exhibits and a chance to take pictures with the Lombardi Trophy.

The NFL has been moving the draft to different cities the last few years and will continue this going forward. The 2020 NFL Draft will be in Las Vegas, and 2023 will be in Kansas City. 2022 is still to be determined.
