Over the last few weeks, the Cleveland Browns have been actively looking to shake things up within the organization.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the team is nearing one of those moves, as they're close to a deal to bring in former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley for the same position on their coaching staff under Hue Jackson.

The Browns and Haley, 50, are close to agreeing on a contract, and he should be named their first offensive coordinator under Hue Jackson soon, a league source told cleveland.com.

Haley previously coached for the Steelers over the last six seasons, but the team elected not to renew his contract for the 2018 campaign following their disappointing 45-42 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round. There was reportedly friction between him and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger that brewed over the last few years.

Under Haley, finished eighth in the NFL in points per game (25.4) in 2017, as well as third in both total yards (377.9) and passing yards (273.8). Their potency with the ball helped the team garner yet another AFC North division title and a first-round playoff bye.

The 50-year-old is set to join a team that is coming off their first 0-16 campaign with many issues arising on the offensive side of the ball. Cleveland ranked 24th overall offensively, including 22nd in passing and 18th in rushing while placing last in the league with 14.6 points per game.

However, the Browns are in position to make some major additions offensively in the offseason with more than $100 million in salary cap space as well as the first and fourth overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. This could allow them to bring in some much-needed talent at quarterback to hopefully finally turn things around in Cleveland.
