Linebacker Joe Schobert is in the midst of another Pro-Bowl-worthy campaign. However, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Cleveland Browns have not made an effort to re-sign him and are willing to let him walk in free agency.

Per Cabot, Schobert has reportedly not heard from the front office in months. When he did, it was evident that Cleveland was not keen on re-signing him in free agency.

“I let my agent handle all this kind of stuff, but my understanding is we haven’t gotten any offers so can’t really build on it from there,’’ Schobert said, via Cabot.

A Pro Bowler in 2017, Schobert is enjoying another standout season in 2019. On the season, the 2016 fourth-rounder out of Wisconsin has 111 combined tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, nine pass deflections and four interceptions. According to Pro Football Reference, he allows a 58.6 passer rating in coverage.

Schobert wants to stay with Cleveland. However, his current focus is not on what happens in March. It's about finishing the season off strong.

“My No. 1 priority is to play the season out and do the best of my abilities and control what I can control,’’ he said, via Cabot. “I can’t really control what’s going on, what’s being said upstairs to my agent and them. I trust my agent. He’s going to do what’s best for me. I trust the Browns are going to do what’s best for the organization. In my perfect world, yeah, I’d be in Cleveland.”

The Browns currently have a slim chance to make the playoffs, needing to win-out for the last three weeks while seeing other AFC foes drop games.
