Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has been ruled out for the Browns' Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday as a result of the broken wrist injury he suffered during his team's win over the New York Jets on Monday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Njoku isn't the only notable player Cleveland will be without this weekend, as safety Damarious Randall will also be sidelined due to a concussion and offensive lineman Kendall Lamm will be out with a knee injury.

Njoku, who has caught four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown this season, is expected to miss over a month.

The 23-year-old played his collegiate football at the University of Miami and was originally selected by the Browns in the first round (29th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign, catching 32 passes for 386 yards and four touchdowns. He then followed that up by again appearing in all 16 contests in 2018 and was impressive, hauling in 56 receptions for 639 yards and four scores.

Njoku was expected to be a major part of the Browns' offense this season, so this is a significant loss, particularly for a Cleveland offense that has struggled over the first couple of weeks.
