The Cleveland Browns have quickly gone from laughing stock in the NFL to possible Super Bowl contenders in just two seasons. A ton of fans and the media alike have crowned Cleveland as possible contenders and now David Njoku can be included in that group.

The Browns tight end didn't hesitate to say that Cleveland is aiming to reach the Super Bowl after getting Odell Beckham Jr. Earlier this offseason, John Dorsey was able to work his magic to land Beckham Jr. via trade.

Understandably, the expectations skyrocketed for the Browns after they acquired the All-Pro receiver. Njoku hears the expectations and understands that the Browns have to capitalize on this opportunity.

“He is a crazy athlete and a crazy receiver,” Njoku said. “Once we realized we had him locked in, we’re excited. We have a great team. It’s up to us to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Last year, the Browns came into the 2018 season with low expectations after going 0-16 the year prior. Then, things quickly changed once rookie Baker Mayfield stepped in as the starting quarterback. The Browns finished the season with a 7-8-1 record and fans had something to look forward to.

Now, those hopes have turned into lofty expectations for the Browns and fans are hoping to finally reach the playoffs. After all, it has been 16 years since the Browns have stepped foot in the postseason.

Everyone on the Browns knows the pressure of having a talented roster and Njoku—along with everyone else on the Browns—has their sights set on making the Super Bowl in 2019.
