Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has emerged as one of the most promising, young players at his position. He is now making sure to have as profound an impact off the field as he does on it.

The world had come to a screeching halt for many due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Ward, representing the Browns, is doing what he can to help out by providing financial assistance to the community through his foundation, Make Them Know Your Name:

MTKYN is a heart health foundation that was created by Ward on his family to honor their late father, who passed a way of cardiac arrest back in 2016. It is safe to say that his efforts have helped to transcend what it means to have a healthy heart in every aspect.

This is quite the move from a player that is still on his rookie contract with the Browns. Regardless, it is clear that Ward is adamant about making a difference where he can.

The Browns took Ward with the fourth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and he quickly established himself as the No. 1 cornerback on the depth chart. He was able to fit the billing of being a former top-5 pick by earning Pro Bowl honors as a rookie.

Not only has he managed to to help turn the franchise around in Cleveland, he is becoming a role model for the next generation of young athletes to to become more than just a football player. Whether or not the Browns are able to meet their high expectations, they can take solace in the fact that they have got a good one in Ward.
