Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward sent out a heartfelt prayer on his Instagram account after learning that he'll be sidelined for a few weeks with a calf strain.

As part of his message, the former No. 4 overall pick asked God to guide him on his path to recovery:

“God, I may not understand the path you are sending me on or the lesson to be taught, but later I will understand,” Ward wrote. “Continue to guide me and allow your will to be done. Amen.”

In a tweet that was sent out on Tuesday morning, Mike Garafolo noted that Ward is expected to miss a few weeks of action:

Thanks in large part to their defense, the Browns improved to 7-3 with their 22-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Denzel Ward played a key role on that end of the field, breaking up four passes and recording his second interception of the season.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com, Ward reported a calf injury on Monday morning. MRI results revealed the strain.

The Browns will also be without the services of Myles Garrett for their Week 12 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as he remains on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list. Cleveland's defensive line played well in Week 11 without him. Let's see if they can muster a repeat performance.

The Browns and Jaguars will meet for their Week 12 matchup on November 29. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET at TIAA Bank Field, with CBS having live broadcast coverage.
