As Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson awaits his punishment from the NFL, he's making sure to stay in shape in the hope of playing at some point in the 2022 season.

The newly-acquired signal-caller, who continues to be in the midst of legal trouble stemming from sexual misconduct allegations, was seen in Austin, Texas on Friday training with fellow NFL quarterbacks Justin Fields and Malik Willis. Heisman favorite C.J. Stroud of Ohio State was also present.

Deshaun Watson was acquired by the Browns this offseason in a blockbuster deal with the Houston Texans, ultimately signing a guaranteed deal worth a whopping $230 million.

However, there is serious doubt he'll even suit up in 22′. Although Watson did reach settlements with 20 of his 24 accusers, the league has yet to announce how long he'll be reprimanded. Cleveland will surely be concerned as well because they just traded away Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers and currently have limited options in their QB room behind Watson. As it stands, Jacoby Brissett is the backup, who has played for the Patriots, Colts, and Dolphins during his career.

Deshaun Watson is undoubtedly going to be a difference-maker for the Browns. But, his off-field troubles will certainly affect his availability. Watson didn't play at all in 2021 after making it clear he wanted out of Houston. He finally got his wish. On a more positive note, it's good to see the quarterback putting in that work ahead of the upcoming campaign. Let's just hope he doesn't miss all 17 games.

Only time will tell.
