The Deshaun Watson sweepstakes are in full swing after the Houston Texans quarterback skirted criminal charges over his sexual misconduct allegations. One team clamoring to win out is the Cleveland Browns.

According to a report by Mary Cay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns are reportedly “serious” in their pursuit of the sidelined signal-caller. They're set to meet with Deshaun Watson himself in Houston on Tuesday afternoon.

“Members of the organization are flying to Houston Tuesday afternoon to do more diligence and talk to Watson in person amid his legal battle involving 22 massage therapists who have accused him of sexual assault and harassment.”

“The Browns have done extensive homework on the three-time Pro Bowler and were continuing to press forward, and that they were increasingly likely to meet with him about a trade.”

The asking price the Texans have for their sought-after QB has reportedly been set to at least three-first round picks. The meeting taking place all but confirms that the Browns are willing to match that offer, just as the first two teams that met with Deshaun Watson in the Saints and Panthers.

Deshaun Watson is likely to face an early-season suspension but looks poised to continue his playing career sooner rather than later. Could it be in a Browns uniform?
