Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson is clearly ready for some change. Early in the offseason he requested a trade. That hasn't happened yet though, as the Browns haven't even made it clear they're attempting to fulfill that request.

Now according to Ian Rapoport, Johnson's made a change he can control – by parting ways with his agent.

Duke Johnson is an extremely talented running back. He's one of the best in the NFL at pass catching from that position – and has proven to be a valuable asset.

Currently, the Cleveland Browns have Nick Chubb (who didn't show great receiving skills in his rookie year) and Kareem Hunt ahead of Johnson. However, Hunt is suspended to start the year, which means Johnson could play a very vital role for the team early on.

With the Browns hoping to actually make a playoff run in 2019, it makes sense that they aren't too keen on trading Johnson away. He brings another wrinkle to the offense and gives them a lot of versatility. In short, he could be vital to them winning a few games this upcoming season.

However, Johnson moving on to a new agent could show he wants to get the whole process moving. This could be his way of trying to find someone who can talk the Browns into moving him before the season starts, ensuring that he'd have a solid role on a team for the entire season – and not just until someone else returns from a suspension.

Duke Johnson has had some great years with the Cleveland Browns. His time with the team may be winding down though – at least that's what you would think this indicates.
